September 30, 2026
September 30 is Orange Shirt Day in Canada, also recognized as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It honours the children who attended residential schools and reminds us that every child matters.
As BC curriculum schools, our campuses mark the day too. Students wear orange, learn about the history behind the day in their Social Studies and English classes, and reflect on what reconciliation means.
Learning about Canada's history, including its difficult chapters, is part of the BC curriculum and helps our students become thoughtful global citizens.
