The British Columbia Certificate of Graduation, known as the Dogwood Diploma, is the official high school diploma of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Students at BC-certified offshore schools follow the BC curriculum and, on meeting the graduation requirements, receive the same diploma as students in British Columbia.
How students earn it
- Complete the required courses in Grades 10–12, including Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Career Education
- Earn the required number of credits, with a mix of required and elective courses
- Complete the provincial graduation assessments in literacy and numeracy
Why it matters
The Dogwood Diploma is recognized by universities in Canada and around the world. Students graduate having studied in English for years, with the academic skills and independence that universities look for.
