Mr. Jonathan Lowe

I have 24+ years of teaching experience in Alberta, mostly teaching in the Sciences. My teaching experience includes 6 years working at Sturgeon Lake School on the Sturgeon Lake Indian Reserve. While at Sturgeon Lake, I served as a teacher, vice-principal and principal at different times. My experience with First Nations learners is much like teaching second language students. This experience also allows me to make many aboriginal connections to the new BC curriculum and has helped to prepare me well for my work at Johnathan Academy.

Ms. Sepideh Farjam

I started teaching in 2002, right after receiving my bachelor’s degree. My main topics were Physics, Science, and Math. I have taught students from grade 8 to 12, and first-year college students.

After teaching for more than 20 years, I found out that my role in a student’s life goes beyond providing a great education. We’re a leader, role model, coach, advisor, and facilitator of growth. Since students spend so much of their time in our classroom, it’s up to us and our fellow educators to make school a positive and inspiring environment where children can do their best work and be their best selves.

  • Motto: Teachers can open the door, but you must enter it yourself
The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you
Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.
